The Aqua Hundred Story
In 1992, the Kathmandu Valley had a safe drinking water crisis. We had the solution. Three decades later, we're still delivering on that promise, one pure drop at a time.

Chapter One
In the early 1990s, the Kathmandu Valley was growing rapidly. But clean, safe drinking water was scarce. Families relied on untreated sources. Imported bottled water was expensive and out of reach for most Nepali households.
The HC Dugar Group saw this not just as a business opportunity, but as a responsibility, a chance to solve one of Nepal's most fundamental challenges. In 1992, Aqua Minerals Nepal Private Limited was established in the Balaju Industrial District of Kathmandu.
"Aqua" means water. "Hundred" means 100% purity. The name itself is a promise — made in 1992 and kept every single day since.
The founding vision was as clear as the water produced: to give every Nepali access to safe, affordable, pure drinking water. That mission has never changed.
Our Journey
From a bold idea in Balaju to becoming Nepal's most trusted drinking water brand
1992 Founded
Established in the Balaju Industrial District of Kathmandu under the HC Dugar Group, Aqua Hundred begins its mission to provide pure, safe drinking water to the people of Nepal.
First in Nepal
Aqua Hundred introduces Nepal's first purified water refillable polycarbonate jar. Before this, purified water was only available in expensive, small imported bottles. The 19-litre polycarbonate blue jar makes pure water accessible to every household and office in Kathmandu.
Technology Investment
Aqua Hundred invests in Reverse Osmosis technology, one of the world's most effective water purification systems. Combined with UV sterilisation and ozonation, the multi-stage purification process sets a new standard for water quality in Nepal.
ISO 9001 Certification
Aqua Hundred achieves ISO 9001 certification, an internationally recognised quality management standard. This rigorous certification covers every stage from water sourcing to distribution and must be maintained through ongoing audits.
Expansion
Aqua Hundred expands to a complete product range: 250ml, 500ml, 1L, 2L, and 5L bottles, 19L refill jars and crystal clear ice cubes for the hospitality industry
2026: A New Chapter
Aqua Hundred enters an exciting new chapter under the Murarka Group, a business house with deep roots in Nepal's commercial landscape. With fresh strategic vision and a strong commitment to the founding values of purity, trust, and Nepali pride, the Murarka Group carries forward the legacy that the HC Dugar Group built over three decades. The mission has not changed, to keep every drop as pure as the one that left our Balaju facility in 1992.
Today: 30+ Years
Serving homes, offices, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and events across Nepal. Aqua Hundred remains a 100% Nepali brand. Made in Nepal, for Nepal. Our promise of purity, born in 1992, continues every single day.
